GRAPE VARIETY
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the main varieties we use for producing of our red wines and wines from “Gorchivka” brand. The original and well expressed blackberry and berries taste, perfectly balanced sweet tannins with acidity and color clarity, all are the typical for wines made by these verities. The vineyards, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are located on 400 ha in areas “Gorchivka” and “Sovata”.

In 2000-2001 we planted another 80 ha new vineyards with French seed, where we grow the “golden” variety Chardonnay – the best base for producing of qualify white wines as well as the highly adaptive to cool-climate regions varieties Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir typically for producing of sparkling red wines.
After winning of a financial supporting project, company is in course of renovating of around 1300 acres of vines with seed from Italy and Germany. There would be growing vine varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc and Traminer, which will allow winery to expand the variety range of its production.
