The winery has been established in 1948 as a State Spirit Monopoly company. In 1997 it is entirely privately owned and transformed into a “Svishtov Winery” Inc. Since then we expand the company possibilities and our production volume by large number of innovations of equipment and technologies and in this way we have ensured a solid foundation for produce of excellent wines.

Today “Svishtov-Winery” Inc. is a modern winemaking company, located in the Eastern part of Svishtov on 5.5 ha area where are situated the main facilities of company with total capacity of about 10 000 tons and innovative bottling line for 2500 bottles per hour using special sealing technology for saving of wine taste and aroma. In 2008 was purchased operational line for micro-wine production, which allows us sorting of grapes for producing of exclusive limited series with red and white wines.

Thanks to the analyses, investigations and developments made in our laboratories we succeed to combine the modern technologies and expertise with traditions of thousands of years in winemaking and to enrich the production quality.

The wine is aging in special French and American oak barrels – of the barrique type – for an accurately fixed period of time and with individual care for each barrel. We store produced bottles wine and barrels in special designed cellars, where we apply our knowledge of well kept traditions and technologies of wine aging along with innovations in this industry, because we know that how we store our production, it will affect how well it ages and how good a wine we end up with.
